The Beyond Bricks Foundation has evolved from the Balwin Foundation, that was established in 2016 by the Balwin Properties CEO, Steve Brookes, with a vision to uplift communities across South Africa.
Through focused initiatives in education & training, sports development, and community outreach, we aim to create lasting impact and opportunities that empower individuals and inspire positive change.

A Moment That Touched Us All
During our Easter Drive distribution at Ratang Bana, we met a young man who was preparing to graduate with his degree but did not have suitable clothing or shoes for his graduation. As the eldest in a child-headed household, his achievement was especially meaningful to his family. Touched by his story, our team came together to provide him with a complete graduation outfit — pants, a shirt, belt, shoes and socks. It was a small gesture that helped him celebrate a remarkable achievement with pride, dignity and confidence.

Stevensons didn’t just donate paint; they sent their people. Fifty buckets and a team of volunteers helped us transform a community space that families use every day. That’s the kind of partner Beyond Bricks is built on.
